Milford Lake Bird Walks
(Usually the 3rd Saturday of the month, March through November.)

Chuck leads a monthly bird walk at areas around Milford Lake. Participants meet in the parking lot at the south end of Milford Lake Dam, across the road from the Corps of Engineers office. The walks start at 8 a.m. and usually last 2 to 3 hours. (Occasionally, in hot summer months, walks will start at 7:30 a.m.) These are very informal walks and birders of all age levels and experience, especially beginners, are welcomed to participate. Bring your binoculars, bird book and walking shoes. Most of the walks are very moderate in intensity. The target date is the 3rd Saturday of the month, but sometimes Chuck has conflicts and has to move them earlier or later. The tentative dates for 2015 follow below. If changes are needed, look for announcements here or on the Kansas Bird List (KSBIRD-L - contact Chuck for details about how to get on KSBIRD-L).
